The role of the Dalai Lama and other peacemakers

August 6, 2009

The Dalai Lama became a pop star of the Western world. This is the first time ever and he’s consulted with not only new, modern values but also it gives him a lot of potential influence. The Buddhism says that, as far as I know, it is better to just let peace flow and accept conflicts instead of do an active fight for peace by using all possible means. So what’s the way? And how do this different world of the Buddhism and the West come along with each other?
